DEET MB5 - Fully Legal

Re: DEET MB5 - 5 Minute Paint Job

+2 on #2, but I think it needs something to fill in the black area below "honda"

Re: DEET MB5 - 5 Minute Paint Job

Thanks for the feedback guys. I may do a quick on-bike mockup this evening to see how it looks in person before committing.

Re: DEET MB5 - 5 Minute Paint Job

2 is good, I trust the other colour is gold or is it a yellow. Use the side covers for the battery and airbox just to box in the frame below the tank. Keep them black. 8)

One more for #2, almost a JPS 8)

Well it sort of is where I got the inspiration. I've been a Renault fan the past number of years and now that they've sort of become Lotus, I've been following that team. I love the new livery they have so I've used that as a bit of inspiration, sans the red.

Cool Thumbs up. They have really perfected the gold and black combo over the years.

Reminded me of the Norton F1 JPS, those too dorned the rear white panel.

Re: DEET MB5 - 5 Minute Paint Job

Thank you very much guys for the feedback. Based on the examples just shown I just did up a pic without the white, think it looks better.

Re: DEET MB5 - 5 Minute Paint Job

Am gonna have to say #1, just looks cleaner to me..

But agree, deffinetly better without the white.

Re: DEET MB5 - 5 Minute Paint Job

It's 1 for me, the line under the seat would be to much (no white) what a cool bike!

Re: DEET MB5 - 5 Minute Paint Job

I'm on first too! The under line distracts. Photo shop the battery side cover in to get effect.

Re: DEET MB5 - 5 Minute Paint Job

I agree as well, I'll try #1 without the white. Thanks again for the feedback, appreciate it.

doublej, I'm not using the stock battery box or air filter so that area is going to be open. I'm using a Unifilter and hopefully putting the battery up under the oil cover.

Re: DEET MB5 - 5 Minute Paint Job

I am modifying the air box and putting a K&N inside of it and also keeping the battery in the original position. Just like the lines with the covers in place.

Re: DEET MB5 - 5 Minute Paint Job

Started painting a few of the headlight parts this evening. Also, updated my original mockup to the one I'm going with.
