Goldwing build (CAFE/Bratt)

yes sir! it is a flat anidized red with a custom blend base coat to make it looke even crazier! sean came up with this over the winter when we where making sample bottles for the shop (we use miller light metal bottles to make our sample bottles) needless to say we where a bit tore up and just trying stuff, accidentaly mixed 2 base coats... figured what the hell... thank god we did cause this is the coolest color i have ever seen, wait till you see it in the light it is unreal!

How is it for picking up dirt and finger marks? Flat paint does that really bad, hoping the powder doesn't.....
remember those wheels we talked about earlier this year....yeah...damn.....that red......

on the cases the letters will stay flat black and the rest will be all in the flat red, here is a shot of them with the base coat on them for the letters... is a pain cause now we have to do the red base coat and top coat, timing the powders flow out temp to keep the letters from having an uneven surface to the rest of the powder... takes some work but will be a good stand out feature

Fucking crazy!!!

hands down the coolest color we have ever created... sean played with powder blends for weeks to come up wiht it

Looking great, Joe. Hey, do they have those rubber boots for the pistons online somewhere? I took my calipers apart and one of them was like dust in my hand....

they came with the kit bud they wehre l ike 23 bucks each. i can check my old ones if i did not toss them out already if they are good you are more than welcome to them

alright! the frame is shot and done and re assembly can begin. i cleaned the hell out of it, then scuffed it, tacked it, and hit it wiht an adhesion promoter, then i used 3 coats of self etching primer, then the top coat of bed liner (non ruberized) after that was about cure i dusted it with a light coat of flat black, this will allow it all to cure together and dull down the shine, have to say it looks insane! just awesom!!!!!!

but here are some pics

you can see the color match wiht the powder is pretty good only diff is the textrue (that is why we wantd to shoot the frame in a bed liner then color match to have the texture in the frame)

also got the first round of red base coats shot on the tank and side covers... shooting PPG paint, still have a bit more red (all this on the tank is shades of red) to lay, then can shoot the black, then the flat clear, some airbursh and accent work... and the tank and covers will be done!
