Therein lies the single most relevant morsel of value in this thread.

Just ignore him, don't respond to his PMs, threads, taunts, whatever. If you ignore him he will get bored and leave. It works every time. He needs the attention and gets off on your ire. I'm guilty of responding, never again. He's a coward that hides behind his keyboard and thesaurus.com, that's all. He(sic) holds no value to anyone and thus no social weight, in that light hatred is better than nothing.

Your hate is a gift that allows him a small pitiful erection.

Just don't respond or acknowledge him, don't even type his screen name in another thread...he'll search and find it and spout his drivel again.

Just ignore him. The thing he can abide the least is to be ostracized.

So be it, that is my commitment to you, my friends. He no longer exists within the scope of my awareness.

Teazer, I understand what you are saying. We are all in fact different people just as you said. But respect is the name of the game. I get tired of banter about "families being a delusion", etc, and the constant ill intended PMs that people get from him with absolutely nothing constructive and loads of bullshit. There is no reason for that here. This forum is what we all make it. It isn't a reflection of society as if we have a mafia that we have to tolerate because they are above the law. Everyone should be individuals. My thoughts are that as long as it doesn't harm another, do what you will. All that's left to be heeded at the end of the day is respect for your fellow builder. It's that simple. Am I asking too much in saying that?
 
I think there should just be a sticky with the procedure for ingoring him and blocking his PM's for every user to follow. I never see what he says anymore and pm's bounce back to him so I live a Swivel less life and love it. Ignore is bliss. He is a big douche nozzle and so I ignore him.

Tim doesn't ban anyone except robotic spam. But settings in your own profile can remove Swivel from your life in about 3 clicks of the mouse.
 
Swivel knows that if he decided to show up to Barber, or some other DTT gathering, he'd be shredded into tiny pieces, along with the cab he showed up in. This thought alone gives me the ability to calm the rage that he attempts to trigger. I would love to be a fly on the wall when his vain existence ends and he meets his maker.
 
I dunno. Without Swiv, Logan would never have made that video. That alone justifies his existence IMO. ::) ;D

Guys, go to your profile, click modify, click buddies ignore list, put swivel in the ignore list, go to PM, select receive PM's from everybody except ignore list, Swivel completely dissappears from your life unless you click see ignored post. It is so easy and makes life better.

The problem with that Mike is that he haunts new comers and they don't know any better than to listen to him. Then it presents DTT as being full of assholes and it isn't. It's just a degradation of the site of a whole. The bigger we get the bigger the chances of people like him showing up. We are the welcome mat for a lot of the world to the vintage bike community and i hate the thought of running off people like i have met and hugged in the last few years. Is just intolerable to think i would miss out on meeting people like I've met in gatherings passed because he ran them off before they had a chance to learn what do the ton is.

Totally agree, hence the idea to make it a Sticky and Read me first thread. Or ban the asshole, I ignore him but agree he can cause shit with new poeple and he is the reason some of the original members are here less and less.
