GT550 Blue Smoke Devil

Far left carb was pissing fuel out of the over flow tube. Left cylinder was not firing but the plug was wet.

Took the carb apart three times and just figured out today that the float was full of gas. Had a tiny tiny hole in it. Put a drip of solder on it and have it soaking in a cup of gas to see if that plugged it.:D Soaked far an hour, no gas inside!! ;D

Believe me when I tell you that is the abbreviated story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally got her back together after a month!!

I miss my 2 smoker. 74 rd350 cafe previous datona bike. Amazing when it ran and very frustrating when it didn't. Your build makes me want one again.

I would love a 750, no 3 into 1 though. I love the crackle of the three pipes!!!!!! ;D

3 into one gives a really deep 'drone' and a lot of mid range, wheelies even easier than with 3:3

3 into 1's run like shit on a GT750.... ask Me how I know... I've had more than a few.... constant tuning... 3 into 3 run WAAY sweeter

Strange, not my experience of them?
3:3 sound better though and does give better performance

And not mine either. I have a Strader and it is sweet all the way to a rather premature redline.... Not a lot of top end but it sounds great.

The UPS guy came today.........Yippieeeeeeeeeee!!!! ;D

The devil should be up and running by the weekend!!!

Hey Andie, I am up in Torrington.

Well I put the new floats in yesterday. Went out in the garage today and no fule leaking from the overflow. 1 kick and she fired right up on all 3 cylinders. Took a rip down town, runnin real well, nice and cracklly!!!!!!.

Actually spent a couple minutes cleanin her up tonight. Nice thin coat of gun oil on the chambers, little carb cleaner to take the chain splatter off the swinger....... 8)
