Been checking on it. I hope it will arrive soon. It should but what worries me a little is the lack of a scan since the 23rd. I hope it's not lost or damaged.

I hear ya... concerns me as well. I'm not going to get too upset yet, though. It's the durn borders that seem to screw things up. Don't know for sure, but I believe the USPS may be guilty of waiting for a full load before sending to assigned areas. Also if your lucky enough to have your item in to them as the "bin is nearing full" your wait is shorter and it may be a day or two longer wait otherwise. Just a suspicion of that...
Damn tracking is a funny thing, both good and bad... This winter I ordered something and watched as it was carefully tracked from point to point; Jacksonville FL, Atlanta, GA, Pittsburgh, PA, Memphis, TN, and finally delivered to me in Gulfport, MS! You can hop on I-10 on the north side of Gulfport and drive to Jacksonville in 7 hours or less! Then I've had stuff come in to me in Ohio from China in less than five days with absolutely no tracking data shown!
While I don't think that Canada, the US, and Mexico should try and recreate the EU, and there's no question that the US and Canada are completely sovereign countries, I've never been able to figure out the lack of agreement and cooperation between the countries when it comes to mail, shipping, and other things like phone connections. Why in the hell can I call a friend in LA and talk as long as I want for nothing more than the cost of my monthly cell service but I'd need a "special plan" to call somebody in Canada on the north shore of Lake Erie, less than 200 miles directly north of me! Oh well, you become Prime Minister and I'll get myself elected President and we'll fix that.
Ha! I know all too well what you are saying. I got the signals from California in about 7 days. the tail light from china in about 11. The seat is the closest but I think the size is the issue. I find larger items take longer, the weird part is though its 16 hours to the border from Ohio and so it must have made it there fast, it takes 24-48 hours to clear customs and usually it shows at customs on the tracking but it doesn't in this case. It should really arrive this week and Covid is also slowing down USPS and Canada post too so fingers crossed I see it soon. If it wasn't for Covid I could have had you send it to me in Maine and drove the 15 mins to go get it LOL.
So I used Ridesolos measurements and mounted the tail and signals where it shoukd work for when that nice solo seat arrives but I am going to need the 2-up seat too so I modded it to work and here the ugly ass thing is. This seat is so much bigger than a GL1000 but it is comfy.
So while installing the new rear signals I discovered my flasher relay had shit the bed. It was acting up on the montreal ride and when I opened it up it was full of corosion. So normally Id just order a Sparkmoto and be done bit with Covid screwing with everything I cant trust Ill get it anytime soon so I have to get one local. I think my CT has one Ill grab today. Last job is today, belts and polish valve and belt covers then back together with fresh fluids and a first fire and depending on weather a first ride of the season.
Thanks Cory. Belts are swapped. Old ones were actually still pretty good looking once off. No nackered teeth or anything. I did the belts faster than Ive ever done being 3rs time I knew all the places to watch out etc. Was a breeze and turned over engine 5 rotations and no weirdness. Polish a bit of alloy, put rad back on and fill the fluids and shes ready! Got to go see if I can get new plugs though. The rich running on 2 fouled a set really good.
Got flasher and plugs. I cleaned the belt covers. I think Ill leave polishing for later and just get the bike together and outside to test fire a do a short ride. 8C 48F out today so a short ride should be doable
Here she is prior to a 40 min run. Started up easy after float bowls filled. Let her warm up with choke, turned that off and she idled perfect. Need a carb sink to get her perfect but I could ride her across the country as is.
