They are way to shiney, they need oil and dirt rubbed on.

They are going on my BMW R90/6, the model is BM141. If you must really know the price head on over to www.hardracing.com .

You know stuff's gonna be pricey when there is a warning page before you continue to the actual price page!

No joke, I bought it yesterday for $400. Pretty good deal for a 250, the most sought after Elite. Seller kept getting calls about it after I gave him the cash, he was a bit bummed that it would've fetched over twice his asking price. I figure I can extend my riding season into the winter with a scooter and park on sidewalks. This thing is highway capable and can cruise at 120 kph. Tomorrow after I drain the tank and put in fresh fuel, it should fire up. I hooked up a battery and it cranked over strongly. If it turns out scooting isn't my thing, I'll sell it in the spring.

Wow!!.. I'm impressed!!..
Well I guess we all have to get one now!!..
You always set the standard for everyone!!.. ;D
I guess we are gonna have to put a DTT scooters section soon!!..

Just please don't start wearing skinny tight pants, cord jacket with elbow patches, skinny tie and a small fedora with a big ass afghan scarf around your neck!!..

Nice! I'll have to consider these for my R75/6 which needs new shocks.

GTFO you MOD.

*resists the urge to by myself an elite, although ive considered one for a while*

BAD BAD BAD...

ROCKER FOR LIFE.

I'm really impressed with the engineering on the Elite. The engine, crankcase and swingarem are all integrated. The valves adjusters have built in guides, no need for feeler gauges. The carb is loaded with gadgets. A fuel vacuum pump, automatic electric choke, heater (routes warm radiator coolant in an an out of carb body and shuts off with thermostat switch when temps get too hot). Anti-dive front end. Digital dash is funky with a clock that runs on a watch battery. I think I'm going to enjoy riding this thing.

I got some frames for my memories. But true-to-form, already pulled the small one back apart and painted it hunter green, ;D

I guess I am confused on why you cannot ride the motorcycle, but you can ride this scooter when it's cold.

A scooter has better front wind protection than a non-faired motorcycle.

Hey Doc J...is the Elite a 4-stroke? I thought all those were 2-smokers?

Only the Elite 50 was a 2-stroke single, the rest were 4 stroke singles. Good 250s are fetching similar or better prices than CB350s around here.

Hmm......
port&polish, VM28-30, tuned pipe and lightened roller weights.
Drag scooter!

Hell yeah. I have a Genuine (PGO) 125 that I kitted to 161, put on a better non catalyst muffler, larger valve head with heavier valve springs, port and polished, non rev limit racing CDI, and totally tuned the CVT with lighter weights, kevlar belt, Dr. Pulley variator, hit clutch, roller bearing secondary shive, 2000RPM stall spring and 1500RPM clutch springs. It's rip shit fast and does burnouts and wheelies like a mother fucker. I also upgraded the front and rear suspension and got higher speed rated tires to handle the new ponies. I can sure tune me some scooters! Woo! You need any help Dr. J, let me know.

Funny video of me drag racing it in 2009 down in Baton Rouge during BABE Rally and 24 hours of LeMons. This was before I had all of the tuning down. I was pretty much trying to use the quarter mile for dialing it in. I was swapping jets and tweaking everything between runs. That's my buddy Phil racer our van. Fucking good times man. My top end was teetering out on me do to roller weights that were to light. I could't break 70. I fixed that and got a new CDI and now I get it closer to 80. Pretty fucking scary on 10 inch wheels.

Poc races

My lates purchase. I just picked this up yesterday. This will be next years project

1973 CB450. It runs and NO I did not pay an arm and a leg for it.
