Pardon my ignorance but whats so special about that bike besides it being a pretty cool bmw scoot

It's the best of that generation of Airheads and makes a great race bike or daily rider.

Beautiful find Kiley, well done!

Can't compete with that but my new helmet and gloves arrived today. Helmet is a Scorpion EXO-500 and the gloves are Cortech Hydro GT. New helmet was long overdue and I needed a more protective glove than the ones I currently have and also needed something waterproof.

Kiley, you suck big boxer balls... I'm jealous.

Here's my latest, kinda small, but more than I've fed my projects in a long time.

Posh Moto signals. I got 4, just snapped a pic of two.

...and a shiney front end for my T120 bonnie.

Aww thanks hon... hopefully it'll get going again soon. Gonna try to machine the top triple next week. And jenn, thanks! We need to hit the garage again soon.

The wrong turn happened before the mod. And actually, the stingers would've helped since I should've turned right :p

Is it going to be possible to turn right?
They look like drag or flat track pipes, severe reduction in clearance on right side?

PJ, The pic angle makes it look bad. It is a slight reduction, but not severe. I had the same thought while fab'ing them up. Kiley and I leaned the bike over well past 45*, I'd say closer to 30*, before they touched. If I get the bike leaned over that far on the street, I've got bigger problems than the pipe touching the ground.

Its usually taken off the vertical, at least that's how they measure it in Motogp. If you're close to being 60* you probably have Marc Marquez on your ass. :)

Not a typo... a brain fart :p
As Tim mentioned I went from the roadway, not thinking that the bike being upright, would go from vertical as Deacon mentioned.

This stuff spokes for 19' rear for the xs tracker. ford emblems for the rd/titan bike, gaskets for the tt500 chopper

Very much doubt it will get to 45 when suspension is compressed, don't forget, even at 40~50 mph you will have a centrifugal loading as well as dynamic loading

I fear you will loose many members with that statement. ;)
Payload Weight vs Inertia Load thing and all....

OK, how about, 'yer fat ass will squash shocks, going round corners squashes shocks more' ;D
Saw surgeon today for follow up on back, right side of spine healing pretty good bone has almost got out as far as screws, not so much on left side :(
got more meds so I can sleep at night though ;)

svap the 600 forks for these. A bit overkill for a gs 400 but i think it will be beefy and hopefully cool.
Cant wait to move into the garage for the weekend and finish this bike of.

And I understood that :p

I get the concern. I rode it fairly aggressively to/from the park Saturday with no issues. I don't plan on "goin deep" into corners without feeling it out for a while. If it seems like it'll be an issue, I still have the spare set of stock DG chambers to put back on ;)

Thanks again for the concerns, and they are duly noted. I'm a big boy and take responsibility for my own actions ;)
