Post a pic of your latest purchase

Not a purchase, but last Tues. my oldest brother had a massive heart attack and died in my little sisters arm. We inherit his $300K+ house and everything else he owned. If it's true "He who dies with the most toys wins", then clearly Ross wins. His collection includes:
69 Sand Cast CB750- he was 2nd owner in 1973, it's in boxes disassembled, but complete
KawaTon- H2 motor in a Norton Featherbed
1975 Moto Guzzi
Ceriani's, Kimtabs, etc.
1980 Ferrari Mondial
1969 Jaguar XKE
BMW 540 w/ functional Barracuda Shaker Hood
A few Alfa Romeos in various stages of race car build
A bunch of Turbo LeBarons
1975 Dodge D100 he bought new and still in good shape.
My other brother says there are massive amounts of every tool I could ever want in triplicates and most new in the box still.
Motorcycle jacks and lifts still in the box.
Oh ya, The Lotus Elan that Emma Peel drove in the mid 60's Avengers tv show.
Still waiting for an itemized inventory. I will probably pack up and bag Ga. and move out there as it may take a few years to liquidate what we will. We'll keep the house in the family. I'd much rather still have my brother here than all the toys. He will be missed.
He had not been in good health and didn't take care of himself. I knew he had delusions of grandeur buying up these projects all the time that I knew he would never finish.
Wow, that's just horrible. I can only imagine the grief your sister is feeling having gone through that experience. I'll keep her in my prayers ;)

That is, assuming she's not a callous, shallow, materialistic, attention whore... such as yourself.
Your own flesh and blood passes away, and the best things you can muster up to say about him is he was sickly and delusional? And that was with just over one line of "brother you lost", compared to roughly 15 lines of "toys you're getting".
That's got Class Act written all over it ::)
But hey... Nice Score! ;) ::)

Got me some rad squishy grips for the gt250. Might not be what came on it, but it's what it had on it when I got er. They are from the right Era anyhow.

Some salvage covers to start polishing... a "Case Splitter/Crank Installer" and a "Clutch Holding" tool from DEET on the Vintage Enduro forums... a set of close ratio gears (only one piece shown) and a CT3 top end from another enduro forum user so I can convert my CT1 to reeds.

Great score Tune-a

Yes, first year liter bike history... if it were not a 76/77 I may not have loaded it, but oil is clean and no sign of ever going down so I felt it needed another chance to run.

Redbird.

I was avoiding the post myself, but yeah I hope his brother forgives him for his misguided thought process, maybe visiting the "stuff" will open his heart to the reality of his loss.

Got some shiny new carb floats for the 175. Maybe this way the fuel will prefer to stay in the bowl instead of on the ground. Of the old ones, the left had a leak and the right had a huge dent.

497cm would make it a 500 Hondita motor and without a starter/happy button to boot!

So it's the lump from an XR500? Hmmm, sure would like to find one of those for a decent price///

I got the motor, exhaust, carb and electrical for 150. I need to open the top end and have a look I have some extra frames around the shop so I will have to see what I can get away with putting it into but first I need to finish the other projects

I have been casually looking for a Brit bike to restore. After a bit of searching I came across a BSA A10 frame for a decent price. After a bit of advice from Beachcomber I decided to grab it. So here it is, the begining of my Brit twin.

I cleaned it down and gave it a coat of rust converter.

thats odd, BSA's usually come with their own rust prevention system......oh, i see, someones already removed that (the engine that is)

Thinking of doing a TriBSA, going to be a future project. I have a few to finish yet.
