Post a pic of your latest purchase

@Rider52 Absolutely, I'll be keeping the original paint. It's in really good shape. There are some spots, (mostly over the yellow) where the clear coat is flaking. I'm not sure if I want to try to scuff it and re clear or just lay the wax to it. Thoughts?
I'd clean it, lightly scuff and hit it with Spraymaxx 2K glamor clear. It will look like new with little effort. Make sure you wear a full respirator, coverall, goggles and gloves though.

I needed a new brain bucket. Though I know and completely agree w/ the old "You can't put a price on protecting your head." thing, I still just can't justify paying what a Shoei, Arai, or even an AGV costs nowadays. My riding style is now much different than in the past as well; no more hours and hours in the saddle and that relates as well to weight and wind noise. I'm also now pretty light-sensitive and trying to cram in sun glasses is always a PITA. I thought I'd try a different style and look bucket. Hope I like it.

Always a sucker for the AF stuff... around a third of my life spent...

I dragged this RS 457 home today, just in time for ski seasont to start. It's quite a change from what I've been riding lately but should be fun. Too bad I'll probably have to wait until April to ride it!

Exactly. My first welds were terrible, now they are slightly less terrible but keep getting better as I do it.
Yep, reading up on how it works and watching videos can help, but nothing replaces practice. Even going to tech school you're paying for guided practice.

It only took a few months but I finally gotthe paperwork taken care of for the Norda build. Now I can actually do some work to it with no worries.

Yeah that's a good feeling. After nearly 10 years I sorted out the registration of my Voodoo Vintage custom frame with an XS650 motor project. It had been hanging over my head on how was I going to get a title for it, but ultimately it was pretty simple and the bike is nowhere near done. But at least now it's a legal motorcycle :)

Yeah, I took the lazy route and paid a lady $150 to deal with the state for me. Definitely worth the cost for someone who knows the system to navigate it for me. I would still be trying to get the courthouse to answer the phone otherwise.

I dragged this home recently, going to be interesting in how much I can reuse.

Got a vevor welding table off amazon, it's 24x36 and is pretty nice for $130. The top is the same as the titanium, or klutch tables, so the only way to really get better is to spend atleast 3x as much. The casters are decent and have leveling feet. It'll work for my purposes.

Looks kinda rough, but atleast it's not in boxes. The cb750 I picked up a while ago came in boxes, and someone had started a "spray paint cafe" project with it.
Oh those are the really fun ones. I have to start putting the bike together to find out what’s missing. This is my last spray paint cafe…

So many half stripped JIS screws. Thankfully a good bit in an impact driver got them out. I'm only using the engine and carbs from it. But $200 got me everything. The engine is going in a featherbed.

Not exactly MC related, but it may occasionally pull the Airhead on a trailer.

With the 5th wheel gone the big ol' GMC Sierra 2500HD had to go too; just way more truck than we needed. I really can't complain, though. I owned it for two years, put on 2505 miles and sold it for what I paid for it. We liked the hybrid Escape we got a year ago so I started looking at the Maverick hybrid truck that uses the same drive train package. I ended up finding this '24 with only 3,150 miles on it. Black wouldn't have been my first choice but it IS purty! I wonder if I ought to consider getting white pinstripes to match the airhead?
