Got my new VM 32's, Vel stacks, split throttle cable, and carb holders in yesterday. All set to go back to dual carbs.

They were popular enough that i wouldn't be surprised if there's a retrofit kit available.

That can't be it, it's three dollars and not covered in BMW logos

Hahaha, you guys are right, it is a common problem, and there are lots of solutions people have come up with. Gonna have to explore that. The bags are really nice though and will look the part.

I traded the cbr in on a Triumph Street Triple R a couple weeks ago.

I was originally gunning for an MV Agusta, but after I picked it up (a leftover '12 Brutale 1090R) I hated it. I took it back to the dealer the next day and said give me my cbr back! Then went and picked up this little gem:

I've put just over 900 miles on it so far and love it.

Looks like a good time! And a great road...really miss that one!

It a sham about it being british ringo where you gonna put the fire extinguisher ;D

the krauser bags I got for the xs11 never gave me any problems, but maybe I got lucky.

Picked this up off kijiji for a song for my GS650E that's about to turn the the clock to over 100K km's it'll be rolling over back to all 0's all on the original motor that had only had the top end serviced at 50K. The bottom end is as it left the factory
So as to keep it going without down time, i picked this up and will rebuild the top end. This new motor is dirty on the outside, but spotless on the inside. The cam lobes still have the machining lines on them and the roller crank is smooth with no play!

I've been making a trip of that road nearly every day now. It's about the only set of curves that isn't still covered in gravel from the winter at the moment. Well that and Madison canyon...but as soon as that was snow-free they tore it up for construction ::)

Aw hell I figure I'm a little more qualified than most in that case ;D

That street triple is freakin sweet. I was seriously considering one but funds didn't cooperate I have a sprint st 955 that has great power but handles a little heavy for my taste. I think that street triple falls right in the sweet spot of power and handling. And Brad my triumph hasn't caught fire yet either.
