the work that went into this thing is unreal, and the limited pictures of the owner don't do it justice. That rear cowl is hand-formed aluminum. the frame is a highly modified BSA frame, and the monoshock was a custom built unit. The exhaust is stainless and titanium. This thing is unreal.

the shop owner doesn't appreciate the "cafe racer" thing like he does choppers. They barely post anything on chop cult, and the first time he had ever heard of Do The Ton was when I informed him the project had been nominated. I think DTT is a resource the shop needs to be more involved with, but I'm the only voice we have on here, and I try not to over-step my authority in doing so. Here's the boss taking her out for a test spin:

thanks! I got a different tank - the stretched tank ended up committing suicide so I'll post new pics after another night at the shop. Picking up the jugs and head from the machine shop tomorrow. very excited. 80 over.

I used the same exacting and meticulous mathematical formula I've used on every part I've masterfully engineered on this machine.

precisely. I guessed. so far it's worked out pretty well, but to be honest the spring is still a little stiff. The real suspension guru's want to talk about angles and linkages and rotations and axixs (i don't know the plural of axis). I basically figured I'd shoot from the hip and at the end of the day I can always change a spring and adjust the strut. This bike is basically just something for me to play around on and refine my skills before I graduate school and become an adult (and start my REAL project. twin pre-unit, twin turbo, fuel injected triumph engines with reverse facing front engine head, to a baker 6 speed transmission in a stretched Norton featherbed frame w/ buell oil-holding mono-shock swing arm and all aluminum tank and fairings)
