You are right. A bike by definition is a series of compromises that we have to make to optimize the overall package. In this case, riding position is of higher importance than certain other criteria. With lower pegs and slightly different implementation of a high pipe exhaust, the overall package should be more fun to ride and will still look great.
For someone yung, dumb and full of.. whatever, cool looks might be the most important thing but for those of as the say "of a certain age" ability to ride the bloody thing and have fun is more important - and it will look ultra coool with an inside outside pipe. Cool and practical. Who knew that was even a thing
Thanx for the kind words of encouragement.
I don't think I've EVER built a bike [ or car ] that hasn't evolved and changed along the way.
I've always started out with a mental image of what I wanted, or at least thought it was that I wanted . In the early days that would possibly become a series of drawings ... as I became older [ more confident ? ] they were simply sketches.
Unfortunately my pal Brian got carried away and before I could stop him he'd put a nasty crease in the superb heatshield that Uncle Rob of this parish donated for my project. I need to attend to that, but it's beyond my skills - so I'll have to look around for someone to sort it.
Basically I have to say I am relatively happy with the look we are going with.
