Tonight in the garage I......

I got off of work before dark tonight for the first time in 3 weeks, so I did some productive things. First, got a haircut, the 'fro wasn't looking so hot. Second, went to Sears. Can we say "tool sale"!!! Picked up a countersink bit (for work) a set of metric combo wrenches, 100' extension cord, 4 1/2" Craftsman angle grinder (for $24.95 by the way :) ) and then came home, set them on the garage floor and proceeded to take a shower and actually spend some time with the wife for the first time in a while. Works been hell, and I'm still at a stand-still on my teardown. Hopefully the new tools will help the progress along.

i cleaned up my garage a bit and got 2 "new" air compressors today. trying to clean up the garage more because me and my dad are gonna add about 16 feet to it for a dedicated bike shop :)

garage? what garage? i got a basement!

although, if i turn my trap door into a lift, it WILL be a garage, a bike garage anyway. maybe thats what ill do this week.

tonight i did nothing but look at my pile of parts and imagine.

Jim and I got the new front end on his 350, took the rotor off the xs400 so I can resurface it this week, worked on my D.I.D. rims more, and did a basic clean-up in the shop, it was looking rough.

My man-cave/bike workshop will be finished in a couple weeks. Until then I'm not doing anything to any of my bikes! :-[

Broke down my bike in the driveway and carried it 3 flights of stairs to the new attic shop. Picked up a nice old wooden workbench and promptly had to completely rip it apart to fit it up said stairs. So now before I can work on the bike I have to figure out how the hell this workbench goes back together. It'll be one sweet attic shop when its all said and done though! Although I cant make sparks.... :'(

bob.

Nice one bobdot.

I make a DIY chain oiler from a 10ml syringe, some 3mm rubber hose, and a few clipties. Also roasted a half kilo of coffee so I can keep on keeping on.

Cheers - boingk

Pulled out some new carb rebuild kits so I can start on rebuilding them tomorrow night. Getting depressed about this '80 CM400, wishing I'd bought a CB750 or 550, guess I'll keep looking.

from 7:30 - 10:30, I...
- removed the exhaust
- drained the oil
- removed the crank case cover
- removed the clutch plates
- removed the clutch basket
- removed the oil pump
- put the new oil pump in...
- put eveything back together
- put back the oil
- fired up the bike then rode around the garage...

what a relaxing evening...

You mean from 730 AM to 1030 pm, right? :D

Geez Loco, you're really slacking! ;D

I took one of these tails and cut it down the middle so I can widen it by 2", When I was going to make my frame work to hold it while I do FG work, I ended up buying a puppy, shes a Rott/ Husky... There goes my next few evenings.
