Tonight in the garage I......

Tried to set the timing on the GT750 with home made DYNA S conversion. last week I realized that one of teh 3 modules was dead and kept blowing fuses, so I replaced that and here we go again.

I'm looking for 3.00 +/- 0.05mm and it has taken a while to get the center and left pots timed up perfectly. Now just the right cylinder to adjust and then I can leave it alone for the rest of time (pardon the pun) - except for dyno testing of course.

Making a 3 cylinder DYNA isn't hard, but getting teh timing spot on for all three cylinders takes a little more work.

I opened my metric motorbike t-shirt which came in the mail today ;) and took my SR project rear wheel apart.

tonight i pulled a cover off of the gs and started sanding, drank a beer, sanded, drank another beer and sanded..
got bored and started filing down the casting marks on the cb's jug fins..
drank another beer and moved onto sanding down the cl's forks..

then had to call it a night to take the mandatory online practice test for tomorrows ase tests.. its lame as shit, but work wont pay for the tests unless i run though these practice tests and pass, and if they want to pay me to take tests so they can give me a raise, im more than willing to sit and drink a beer while answering some questions.. haha

Ive got 6 months of winter to look forward to, suppose its not too important.

Hell yeah on the H2, Ja-Moo!

I swapped out the 15 tooth front sprocket on my XR600R for a 14. It won't top the ton anymore, but is a lot happier cruising at Aussie freeway speeds (100~120kmh). Before 4th was too short and 5th was just stupidly tall, now its almost spot on.

Might have to go back to the 15 when I install the new cam and ignition unit though...

Wingspan - now that is a well equipped garage!!

LOL! The oven isn't mine, but I do have access to it. My father teaches aviation maintenance and the oven is in his composites lab at the university.

Do you have a hot sister who could therefore grant the same access to said well equipped garage?

I have a sister, but she's married with a couple of kids. She also hates motorcycles with a passion.

Mounted my steering damper on my kz and got everything mocked up ready for paint this weekend.

How'd you end up mounting that bad boy? I know you were thinking of top mounting it at the yoke.

bob.

The only way, after looking at it for hours was to mount it like this. (Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics)

It gives me the full range of motion and stops exactly where it should and it clears the tank. Also instead of buying a $50 aluminum bracket (which is retarded) I got a bracket for a bicycle part (?) which is aluminum opens and closes and has an allen head bolt. There was a tab on the side of it and I just drilled the hole out larger to fit the bolt on the damper.

Seems to work perfect.
