LOL, you can only have so many of those before you have replaced every system on the bike, I bet you are good for a while with what you have done now.

Sort of. It was outstanding yesterday and this morning the rear cylinder is cutting in and out again. Am starting to suspect the rear pickup coil, though it was working fine when hot yesterday. So damn frustrating.

Sorry Rich Ard,

I take back that "reliable as a Honda" remark.

I was only joking. It obviously is not true.

I thought back to what PJ was saying about charge robbing here - http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=.0 - and decided to play with fueling some more...running way (farty) rich but firing on both now. I need to dial that in better.

I didn't have my idle screw locked in place and it threw things way off...need to get out to a big long stretch and work on that for a while. I was really happy with how it was running last night when I got home but am having difficulty getting back to that baseline for some reason. Probably working in a less organized fashion than i should - this thing is darned frustrating some times!

I spent an hour last night working on the carb and it was running great - took it out this morning and the 0-1/3 throttle is running a cylinder at a time unless I baby it.

At least I know I'm getting closer!

This thing is going to drive me mad. Front coil died. That's fine, I had a new one. Now the goddamned battery isn't charging.

AAAAAAAAAAAAA

Deep breath.

Want to buy my Honda ?? J/k

What the hell are you doing to that bike?

All joking aside, those bikes are usually stone reliable.

Get it going!!!!

I think the bike just likes having Rich's hands all over it so it breaks to get more hand time :) I've been through stuff like that though, gets pretty frustrating. Keep at it man.

Hey, I got to work this morning! :)
what is funny is you can tell you are a good dad with 4 little girls???? The only time you have to work on your bikes are at 4am!

I have a r/r from a parts bike that I'll throw on tonight...before I threw in the towel last night I checked AC voltage coming from the stator and am getting ~25V AC across any two of the three wires from the stator at idle.
