XV920 "Short Bus"

Just a couple of very small dings. I've never had much success at bodywork, so I'm going to have to go slow and easy on this part.

Did some skim coating tonight after sanding the badge mounts flush with the belt sander.

Nice Saturday night in the garage with my sweetheart, working on a desk I think we're going to hang on to.

Body work is annoyingly time consuming. One second I'm stoked to be done and ill ride around the neighborhood without my taillight wired or a seat done yet, or my side covers sanded and painted. Then it hits me that I have to do all of this shit to actually be "done". O and a license and having plates too..... And insurance. I feel your pain on the tedious shit.

Eh, I'm just whiny. I have put a couple thousand miles on this thing, and I have a running bike sitting outside right now, so I really don't have anything to complain about.

That isn't going to stop me, of course.

Yep, I left some dents in the CX cause if I make it perfect, the first dent hurts soo much more. It'll look great still but have enough small flaws that one more will not really matter. LOL

I understand that Rich. I just picked up a Virago and I can't see me touching that till the weather turns. Especially now that one is running. As at as your bike goes, I love how stubby it is. Like a snub nose revolver.

Maritime- oddly enough I realized how I'm not entirely a neat freak as I thought I would be. I planned to fill my tank dent and sand and paint and all I'm managed to achieve is stripping the tank and just throwing a shitty clear coat on it. But luckily, the term rat rod gives my laziness a term I can use as an excuse for awhile.

drey get a thread going on your virago

I will soon, just have to tidy up a couple more things on the CM ill be tearing into that one. I really want to hit the road a bit on the CM before my very first riding season has come and gone. I have been looking for inspiration on your tracker, Rich's and the Cbass build.

Or a BMW.

I'm starting to lean toward "might eventually inherit my pop's Beemers" and now I already have a boxer.

Still dumping primer on this thing, which is why I just left a string of twenty comments across the forum
