    Yikes!

Can't be the regulator on this one, it's with the charging circuit I posted for the previous owner (fatherjohn). It's charged by a charging circuit, not directly by the regulator. Either the voltage-setting on the charging circuit isn't correct (too high) or the battery died because of...

    cb200 battery question

A cb200 has a permanent magnet rotor hasn't it? That means you can make it work without a battery. You'll have to rewire some stuff....

    CB360 Advice Please!

ask if you can remove the camshaftcover for a moment, to inspect the camshaft journals. Traces of silicon gasket are also not a good sign.... Greetz

I'm not around my workplace @ the moment. But I'm guessing thy are M5 x ..... You still have the screws? Just measure their outside thread diameter, they should be normal metric types. You'll want the type of socket head with a "low head". Should be DIN7984, with a strength of 8.8 . Greetz

    My CB360 barn find

I always replace those bitch-ass crap screwdriver screws with some nice socket head ones. Find it much more practical instead of messing up those heads. If you stripped the thread of the little bolts, chances are you weakened the thread in the base plate as well. I see you already have a...

Rectifier should be plug and play, old ones are also a 4-point bridge type. Yes tape them of, or even better and cleaner, is to get some battery terminal insulators from a car parts store (those red and black silicon terminal insulators), should be cheap. Also I noticed you kinda "forced the...

Still one little thing (don't want to be a bitch ;D). Do insulate those naked terminals on your battery and regulator (or at least the positive ones), you don't want those to short out (especially @ your battery). Greetz

Can't tell about those vacuum plug's, don't use the original carbs. ->PJ You said you set the points gap at 0.014", mind you that's just a starting reference ehj, further adjust from that gap with a timing light, before adjusting the carb. Your iginition timing and cam timing should be spot-on...

    My CB360 barn find

Nah it's pretty straight forward, follow the manual, unmount the old points, put the new ones on, set them at "fire", put a little of fine oil on the pivots of the points and very little on the little cam that pushes the points open. Install the new condenser, and fire it up. And when you feel...

    My CB360 barn find

A It's normal the rectifier and regulator get hot. That's why they should always be bolted against a good heat conducting underground (your metal base plate is perfect). And a human being "feels" hot starting from 50 degree C (122 °F) which is an OK temperature for electrical components. If...

Great succes wawiewoewa !!! Bike is looking good, congratz!. But when you're in the oldtimer/ custom- bike stuff, you will never be fully finished with a bike, there's always something to change/improve, upgrade.... It ain't over till the fat lady sings!!!! Say fatherjohn, do you still have...
