I'm rewiring my cb200's headlight with a DPDT switch. But after some research it looks like originally the yellow and yellow/whites wires were routed through the original headlight switch so that when turned on it added a 3rd generator coil which I guess gave more current for the light. Read...
This is probably a dumb question, but any help is appreciated. I'm mounting new shocks (NOS aftermarket ones) on my cb200. There is a small bit of play at the top shock mounts but I think I'll take the mickey mouse approach for that and just wrap the shock mounts with electrical tape to fill in...
This one is pretty obvious but didn't see it anywhere on the board. Had all the pieces for it in my basement...just 3 pieces of wood screwed together for the frame and the right diameter pipe to fit through your wheels. Clamps just to make sure you don't spin the pipe out of the hole. Let's you...
For my cb200 a rebuild kit is about $20 but I found Keihin PE24 carbs on ebay for $50 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320429694662). Its from Thailand but I'm considering taking the risk to get brand new carbs for only about $100 more than rebuild kits and all...
Anyone know anything about these jackets? They are for sale directly from Bates. Only $60 but they are nylon/canvas w/ armor. Is canvas protective enough for in-town riding...
I was naively under the impression that shops like BratStyle, Deus, Gravel Crew, etc were doing tons of custom work but after looking around on the internet today it looks like there's a huge assortment of bolt on products for the newer Yamahas and other brands. Looks like a company named "Nitro...
Will somebody explain to me how a high capacity condenser works and what applications its for? Does it only work w/ newer bikes?

Anyone know anything about these? Can't find anything via Google. They are the height I need, just want to make sure they aren't junk before I buy. They seem like a good deal if they are quality.

Got my forks 100% disassembled...
One tube looks mint on the inside, the other has a couple of wear lines about 1mm or so wide and about 1mm apart that run the entire length of the tube. The lines are rough to the touch but not too bad.
Should I be concerned about this? I'd have to imagine it...
I thought I would contain my motorcycle-related idiocy to one thread instead of scattering it all over the place. Based on reading the board over the last month, I'm fairly confident that I am the least knowledgeable person on here. So thanks in advance for any help and feel free to have a laugh...
Maybe I'm missing something or maybe it's because my cb200's seals are 35 years old, but I cannot pry out the oil seals with a screwdriver. I've already destroyed my front one. How do you get these things out?
I can order a replacement for the front seal, so no big deal, but haven't found a...
How come no one is rolling with a bellypan on their vintage street cafe? Is this not a cool thing to do? I think it would be a slick look if you could figure out how to work a the stand in as well. Do people not use them because its a pain to work a pan around a stand or is it because hardcore...
I bought the epoxy appliance paint....it says primer not recommended right on the can. Are they serious or is that just for applications to appliances that are already painted? I sanded my frame/ an angle grinder to get rid of most of the rust so I'm left with lots of bare metal along with some...
Hello. I decided to start a 74 CB200 cafe project over the winter despite not knowing how to ride or any experience with working on engines, etc. You can't tell in the pics, but its pretty rusty and needs a lot of clean up. I'm trying to get it disassembled by the weekend so I can get the frame...
Hey, I'm new...just started in on tearing down a 74 cb200 and have zero experience doing this sort of thing. I'd like to keep the paint on my tank as original as possible but its pretty rusty in the nooks and crannies, has some scratches that have rusted, etc. I searched old threads and someone...
