Dirty Dan
Tasty waves and a cool buzz.
Well, this is long past due, seeing as I've had the bike for about a year now... but hey, better late than never right?
These first few posts are going to be me showing you what I've done so far. I'll keep updating from here on out.
This is my first bike, though I've been hanging around cars my whole life. My dad got me interested when I was young, and I haven't stopped obsessing over anything with an engine since.
Here she is the day I picked her up:
It was exactly what I was looking for. I have a thing for the smaller CC Honda's. It wasn't that pretty, but it felt like she had good compression and I couldn't stick my arm (fingers?) through any spots of rust.
Pretty soon after I found the first one I found another, cheaper, 350F. Figured I could use a parts bike so I picked it up. It was in similar if not better shape (it's the black one in front):
As I stated, the black one was in better shape so the original bike turned into the parts bike and the parts bike turned into the project bike. I got it during the summer, strapped some clubmans on it and bombed around the back roads around my house. Here's how it sat for a summer before I really started to tear into it:
I ordered a seat, the squishy banana lookin' thing wasn't really cutting it.
Some new sticky rubbah' (Avon Roadriders. +1 up over factory size front and back)
Then I decided I wanted to do a complete frame off. I started simple, pulling things off and polishing them. I love taking old crap and making it shiny! Before and after:
And then I got real motivated... and this happened:
