Re: Kawasaki H2/FZ Cafe Back from the Dead?!
Heh, heh, heh! Ya, I guess that term is a little outta line when you're using newer parts on these vintage bikes! The rear sets are for a 90's ZX7 Kawi. They are "new" but left overs from when they were popular, and I got a pretty good deal on 'em! I guess that still qualifies as NOS!! ;D
I'm gonna hafta weld some steel brackets on the frame to bolt them to. I just hope they don't look too "out of place" when I'm all done! ;D When you mix eras like this you can sometimes end up with a bike that looks like a "dogs breakfast" if you know what I mean! We've all seen bikes that look like they can't make up there mind what they are!! : That's why I totally understand people like DrJ who don't like mixing eras. It's a bit of a "crap shoot" at times and you lose some of the "retro cool" look and feel!
So, this is "me", we'll see how it turns out! ;D
