And now the update!
I played in the shop all day today and got a bunch of stuff done. The tank and fenders are now finished. I added another 3 coats of clear to all of them at about 10 AM. About 15 minutes ago, the tank was cured enough to move out of the booth so I took some teaser shots. Images proper will come tomorrow, but this should get you droolin! It looks amazing IMO, and it just made the bike.
I put on my new chain today after spending like $100 at Tractor Supply on chain breakers, tensioners, and staggered master links, but dammit, it's done! And it wouldn've been more than that if Troybilt hadn't hooked me up with some new chain. You rock brother!
No clearance issues at all. It is tight, but she fits. I love it when measurements work! The rear wheel is true as well. So +1 for handmade swing arms guys! Take your time and it will rock.
My Duc Monster shock came in when I got home a second ago, so that will go on tomorrow. I also got these in:
And bought a shit ton of wires and waterproof connectors. So guess what is next on the plate!
So anyway, enough of my rambing. Here are some pics. hope you dig it!
Installed chain:
Fresh in the booth:
Don't worry, the 8" of excess stripe is now trimmed. Literally 8", but I wasn't taking chances!
And the cramped up shop teasers:
Tomorrow she rolls outside for her cameo!
Thanks for lookin fellas! Hope you like it! Lemme know your thoughts!
