1974Honda Cb450 gas cap latch what am i missing?

a tip: if you do the nuts and bolts cleaning method it can be a pain to get them back out. your arms will be tired as hell by the time you've shaken them all out of there. I use a chain type plant hanger. it's basically 5-6 chains hooked together. use mechanic wire to attach bolts and nuts all...

Sully's Garage Episode 2. Hammering Gas Tank Indents on a CB750

if you use a dead blow hammer you won't get the bounce back double taps. and have more control. then you can use your lighter rubber/vinyl one for finishing. makes it a lil easier.

    Relining old helmets...

I didn't know you could replace impact foam. it definitely degrades w/ time. I thought you meant the liner. still, why not just hang the vintage helmets in the garage and wear a safe helmet on your noggin. if you have the $ to get someone to replace the impact foam you could buy a pretty decent...

    Relining old helmets...

I used to do this until I realized how dangerous it is. I still find old helmets and paint them for fun. but would not wear them for anything. I have a friend who died trying to 'look cool'. it's just not worth it. Bell makes some cool 'vintage looking' 3/4 helmets. I recommend wearing a full...

Ton Up Nor Cal pedestrian cutter- freshly painted, thought you guys might dig it

thought this was a good place to show off a ped cutter I just painted for a buddy. or did I post this in the wrong spot? if anyone else needs some painting, lettering or striping done... it's a urethane clear over waterborne base w/ 1 shot enamel on top.

I'd post it in that area and put a link here. I'd like to see it. it's crazy how it can be cold and foggy in SF and then I come across the bridge to Oakland and it's warm and sunny.

may be in the market for an oil tank/battery box for cb750 that works with stock frame. preferably a simple elegant shape, round or square. nothing too crazy. if you guys have one of those for not too much $ I'd pick that up too.
