I don't think running leds will change the output of the Altenator.
They will just draw less current.
So I would be guessing, still no reg.
Maybe an auto elec can chime in here.
Cheers.
You could try and use the guts of your old petcock if you have it, and try and source an adapter to thread your new petcock into where the little bowl screws in.
Just a thought if you still have your old petcock.
It will still be a hassle to find an adapter though. You may have to make one...
Not ALL, and what if you want to make your own bits.
I made a few shims up for under my valve springs and did exactly this to harden them.
Just good info to know.
Cheers.
If anyone here is into guitars, this site has a build challenge where dudes build Telecasters from scratch.

Hummingbird,
If you don't take PJ's option, I will go and see Squires next week.
I only live 10 Mins away.
I'll let you know how I get on.
Thanks for the info too, and thanks PJ. You are a wealth of knowledge :)
As far as I am aware, 4 into 1 is better for top end, 4 into 4 is better for low end, 4 into 2 is best for mid range.
That is a VERY rough guide, so many more factors impact this.
But as a rough guide, it will do.
Cheers.
I'm with ya PJ, that advance unit looks rusted on.
Wonder if its stuck at 5 degrees or 40 ? LOL :D
Also, the cam chain tensioner is not too bad, I've seen alot worse. Your call if you want to replace it.
Depending on your budget, it looks usable.
Now would be an excellent time to sandblast...
