And unless you plan on riding flat on teh tank looking through the screen, maybe the screen doesn't need to be transparent. On a race bike with a tall screen, we tuck in behind them on a long straight, but 99% of the time we look over the screen. If that works for you, just paint it black or any other color you like. Just thinking outside the box.

Thanks guys. Teazer, I may end up just painting it black depending on how the screen itself turns out. I'd rather have the screen though so will try my best to do it. I've test sat on the bike and the screen shape should work fine and to be honest, for the type of riding I'll be doing, it will be functional enough. No track anywhere near here so just street riding. I mainly did it for both the looks and because I love trying to make things, if it doesn't turn out the way I want it will be scrapped and I'll just go with the traditional headlight. Should know better in a week or so.

Thanks a lot! Ha ha, I'm sure it does, I have numerous 'part' envy from other builds around here.

You know you two really need to get to a gathering. Newfies would bring it up a notch that a regular Maritimer can't quite reach. ;D

Finished shaping the screen and cut the opening in the fairing, been waiting to do this for a long time. Very pleased with how its turning out. Still a nice bit to do with it, the screen needs to be cut to fit, fairing and screen needs holes for mounting and cut edge of fairing needs to be shaped a bit to smooth it out.

Used a dremel with a tile saw blade to cut the fairing.

Then placed the screen in to see how it looked. Only loosely put in so excuse the sloppy look.

Finished mounting the screen the afternoon, just mounted for now with some temp screws until I get better ones. Also, edge of screen is just rough trimmed for now, I'll clean it up later but happy to have it all together now. Threw the headlight in to get the complete picture.

Trying to finish the mockup before tearing down and wondering what to do about the fenders. Threw the stock ones on and I think I'm liking them. If i keep the rear I'll be trimming it down a bit, only really need it for the licence plate. Both the front and rear will need to be stripped and painted since the chrome is horrible.

Yep, no doubt about it; serious case of fairing envy. Really nice work.

Liking the stock fenders too. Overall that bike looks awesome and I cant wait to see it in paint/person!
