Ya done yet ;)

I have it in my greasy hands now! :) It looks right. I don't have the bike here to directly compare. We'll see Saturday morning. I believe I should be good to go for Barber though! :D

Thats bad ass Drew! BTW did you hot wire that thing!! (no key) :)

Thanks Autotek!!

Not hot wired... just a key that's sooooo worn that it will vibrate out of the ignition and fall on the street. Ya... I got lucky and found it. ;D

So... it just turn it on, yank it and stuff it in my pocket! :D I put this on as a key fob to remind me!

Well, here is the corrected piece. :)

The bushings weren't the right ones, but with the right ones, it "fits like a finger up yer nose"!! ;)

Can you say, "Road test in Alabama?" Yes... yes you can! 8)

That's excellent to hear Drew. Report back with a ride report when you get a good chance to flog it.

Counting the single digit days! I bet she turns into a new bike with that suspension!

And again and agian untill the masses know there not voting for a motorcycle there voting for animal from the muppets with wheels

Forgot to add, have fun at Barber. That goes for everyone going; have fun guys and take lots of pictures for the poor unfortunates that cannot go :(

Thanks gents!!

I really do wish you all were going to be at Barber this year. I don't know when or even if I be back. It won't be the party it could be, if you're not all there! :'(

That said...

It's gonna be a blast!! ;D ;D

Well, Barber WAS a blast! Met many of you there for the first time! I'll never forget that weekend! Thank you all! 8)

Heh, heh, heh, hem. O'k... back to business. ;)

I picked up my h2 the night before leaving for Barber and realized that the rear tail and brake light hadn't been hooked up. Ended up figuring it out with Seaglider on the trailer, in his driveway, in the dark. Sheesh! Not the best way to begin the trip. :)

The new suspension had NOT been sorted out prior to heading south, so I wasn't too sure what the results would be. We set out on Friday from the hotel to see what we had. After a "minor" incident ::) , we had a short scoot around and the Mongrel handled just fine! Both the front and rear are a little soft for my liking, so we'll tighten that up some, but even with motocross-bike-like wheel travel, it whistled through all the curves I could find without a wobble or hiccup!

I really haven't got any good pics of the new shock and suspension set-up... I'll work on that this week. One thing though. There's not much room down there to adjust it!!  I hope we can get it right and then leave it alone. ;D

Here's what I have:

I'll get some more for the weekend. :)

Great to hear about barber and that the new set up is working !

Found another pic on the zrxoa forum. :D It's a nice one. Among other things, it shows my mangled-and-straightened vanity licence plate. ::)

That is one god damn sexy bike. Next year I will be at Barber with the Bonneville, for sure! I am actually planning on Daytona if anyone is interested. I have two 3 bedroom houses 4 blocks south of Speedway blvd at the beach! Family houses not rentals. It would be nice to get about a dozen of Dtts finest in the house!

Thanks for the props! :)

Nice timing on the Daytona comments!!

Seaglider (my brother) and I were talking on the way home from Barber (lots of time to yack, 15 hours back to Toronto!) and we agreed that Daytona would be a nice destination for next Spring! 8)

If you're serious, start a "Daytona" thread and we can see about revving up some interest! ;D
