Re: fake surveillance cameras....do they really work? at my dealership we have 4 fake, and 4 real cameras. Since they have been installed we have had: 8 Catalytic converters stolen 2 drivelines 6 mirrors 4 radios 1 starter 1 gas powered air compressor (yeah huge wtf on that one) 1 truck...

    DTT calling cards? Thoughts? Tim?

I belonged to a roadster club that did this. We all had about 25 cards, and if we felt a roadster would work well in the club, it was kind of an invite. It worked well, some thought it was stupid others thought brilliant. The business cards were free, and there are plenty of webprinters that...

    Good news or bad?

x 2 When I told the same thing to my wife, she just said "don't worry, you'll never know when I cash it in."

    Engine stuck

just to add to the poster above, I have used diesel. It is cheaper than PB blaster. Had to dump some diesel down each cylinder of an old frozen up Ford 300 6. After about a day of soaking it fired right up :D

Selling an "advanced" bike to a beginner

You are indeed a very good seller. I sold my first bike a 1993 highly modified Katana to a kid that I later regretted. He was a new rider, had just gotten his M-1. The Katana had a V&H power comander in it, and I turned it down to it's lowest settings. But I also showed the kid how to kick...

    Save a life, learn CPR.

co-worker's son is learning to become an EMT. He had to spend a day at a hospital ER, and had to administer CPR to a patient. Patient did not make it, he was rather bummed.

    Wheel Bearings

bearings are too cheap to risk. Plus the new bearings will be sealed on both sides. Instead of open like alot of the older Japanease bikes.

Lacing up aftermarket alloy rims. Long winded photo walkthrough.

nice work on the wheels :D I just recently did the wheels on my GS750. I used nickle nipples though to try and avoid nipple to spoke fusing. Buchanan was a great help, and there turn around was fast. If interested my wheel build is towards the end of my bike build...

    how to replace wheel bearings

I have to agree with Midnight. I have done many wheel bearings, but Suzuki goes that extra mile. My mag wheels I used a sharp chisel and worked up to an 8 pound mini sledge before they would budge. I used my round drift and completely ruined it trying to get the bearings out. As is I had to...

Post a pic of your latest purchase

Konica Minolta Magic Color 1680MF Laser all in one. Dead sexy isn't it. :D It has been raining a bunch here and I am getting serious cabin fever. The humidity is so high I don't dare start body work on my bike's tank. I used to be a real good model builder, cars, planes, anime figures...

    Bought a new bike!

congrats on the GSXR :D I really miss my 1k some times. Not so much the power I miss, but the handling. You want to see a big difference get rid of the stock GSXR wheels and get a set of OZs or Marvics. Night and day difference in acceleration, braking, and flickabilty. The stock wheels weigh a...
